Use Your Right To Act! is an international workshop series about the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The project aims to create a partnership between youths in Sweden and Uganda, while teaching them about international development.
There will be three workshops, both in Stockholm (Sweden) and in Kampala (Uganda), this spring. The two first workshops will be made for the youths - to enhance their knowledge about the MDGs and to give them good tools and tips on how they can become global actors of change. The final workshop in each country is made by the youths, with help from us, the tutors. We want to create a comfort zone where the youth can try themselves to tutor others. For example they can keep a lecture for one of the classes in their school or set up an event outside of the school. It is all up to the youths themselves how they want to plan and realize the final workshop.
This website/blog is the youths platform for discussions about the MDGs during the project. You are more than welcome to take part of how youths in Sweden and Uganda work towards reaching the goals and how they, while doing that, make a difference on a global scale. So, let the words flow, let us share our experiences and let us never be silenced!
Warm regards,
Karin, Caroline, Henrietta (Sweden), William & Yvette (Uganda)
